About Sarab Community Market Abu Dhabi
In April 2023, Ibtikar Fire Proofing completed 4,000 m² of fire protection on the structural steel of Sarab Community Market in Abu Dhabi, using Nullifire SC804 intumescent coating together with Carboline Pyrolite 15 cementitious fireproofing.
Community retail buildings mix visible and concealed steel, so Ibtikar combined a thin-film intumescent for exposed members with a cementitious spray for concealed areas. The coating was applied by our trained crews to the manufacturer’s specification and verified with dry film thickness checks before handover to the main contractor.
Fire Proofing Materiel: Nullifire SC804 Intumescent Steel Coating
Nullifire SC804 Intumescent steel coating is a very low VOC, borate free, APEO free, water-based, thin film intumescent coating for the protection of structural steelwork. SC804 contains no substances of very high concern.

Nullifire SC804 is optimised to provide 90 minutes fire resistance to ‘I’ section beams and columns, hollow columns, hollow beams, cellular beams, concrete filled hollow columns and solid steel tension rods. Limited 120 minutes protection is also available. SC804 can be used on steel, cast iron and galvanised steel.

Fire Proofing Materiel: Carboline Pyrolite 15
Pyrolite 15 A 15 lbs./ft³ density SFRM intended for the fire protection of interior structural columns, beams, joists, decks, walls, roofs, girders, floors and pre-cast concrete units. It is tested and certified for fire resistance ratings up to 4 hours.

- Can be injected with Accelerator A-20 for fast set and increased yield (optional)
